I am an advocate and user of the ‘Do Not Call’ Registry. On the phone number registered, it appears to work [a negative proof].
I receive certain spam phone calls on a semi-regular basis.
A few months ago, my phone company rolled out a ‘Black List’ feature, both Personal and Community. This morning, shortly after an uninvited alarm clock via my main spam phone-call instigator, I decided to utilize this new line of defence.
I await the appearance of this method working [a negative proof].

~//Update\\~
It appears that the ‘Do Not Call’ Registry got an upgrade: there is now no expiration date for phone numbers you register with them. This prompted me to decide to downgrade my expiriment’s scientific nature by signing up my remaining phone numbers. I await the appearance of this double-up method working [a negative proof].

It’s 3:30 am. I am unable to sleep. I look out my apartment window. I see the lights in neighboring apartments. I think, “Who is up this late?”

A recent “in RAM” To-Do of mine has been to upgrade the WordPress plugins I regularly use.
Before doing so, I deleted the ones that were pre-installed but I never touched. No harm so far.
When trying to upgrade the plugins I do use, however, I was encountering a fatal error. After a search, I found out what was causing the error and how to deal with it. Therefore, all my plugins are now belong to upgrade.
Now all those other projects I have…

My motto for Circuit City has been, “Things I don’t want for three times the price”. This has explained to me, in clear terms, their bankruptcy and liquidation.
Several days ago I discovered the exception to this motto. I walked to the local Circuit City to see what their liquidation discounts would be and found that all discounts were no greater than 30%, most items being 10% off; not surprising. What was surprising was that they were selling CD Jewel Case Labels for lower prices than Office Max. For my single and only Circuit City purchase, I was able to buy twice as many Jewel Case Labels for $10 cheaper each packet than the Office Max two doors down.

I’m glad to be able to live-stream this online and to be alive to do so.
Now to shower off the last eight years.

I found the process of updating phpBB to be hazardous. Luckily, I had enough presence of mind to backup my board postings before re-re-re-re-installing the latest version. However, the whole situation cost me my ideal mySQL database name.

//Update\\
Turns out, renaming your phpbb backup is a Cardinal Sin. At the end of the [next] day, I have the mySQL database name I wanted but without any of the postings I’ve made over the past … since ever, but with the software all up to date and a few tidbits of knowledge about what not to do, what a few things mean and so forth. That’s how these things go.

As much as I want America [and the world] to get off oil, the current recession is appearing to deliver the first punch to OPEC by creating low prices for oil despite their best efforts to cut production.
I realize that this is short term. Over the long haul, oil can go only up in price. In the mid-range, this should benefit OPEC until oil and its derivatives become boutique fuels only specialized organizations can afford. At such a point OPEC may, like NASA, resort to Survival Mode less any prior attempt at life-saving R&D.
