That’s Progressive.

I have just found out that MA is now allowing Progressive [car insurance], as well as a couple other companies, into the “controlled competition” car insurance market in MA. I had to not only visit Progressive’s website to confirm this — I called them as well.

You cannot believe how amazing this is. The first thing I hate about MA is the Traffic Shark Cops. The second thing I hate about MA is the red tape and its [now former] Exemplar, MA Car Insurance Laws. About two years ago, when the current governor [a black guy with an Irish name] was talking about car insurance reform, I went to the length of writing him a letter telling him to PLEASE follow through with it. I Almost Never write letters to political officers [just ignore who I'm related to].

What Imitating What?

Going through 40-odd CDs to sell is, as reasonably expected, taking all day. I shall take a little longer than that just for kicks, but I am glad that I am doing it. Some spin-off project may come out of this prematurely, but let’s hope that doesn’t happen until it’s time.

New shoes are giving me blisters on my Achilles Heals, both of them. Walking is now a killer. Blister-coverings are of no help.

“Not Chess, Poker.”

I was watching Championship Poker over dinner and there was a guy who looked like Wild Bill Hickock. Now, he was loosing a lot of money for a while — but near to when I was leaving he started winning in this way: his hand had Aces & Eights, and he won the hand. I was looking for someone to kill him or something. I was happy.

After experiencing some problems with my Comcast internet connection again for the past 9 days or so, I actually got the technician who saved my situation back in Oct->Dec 2k7. Turns out the modem needed swapping. I had two spare modems [one from Comcast that I skimmed off them recently, one I purchased four years ago] and I dropped in mine, registered it and it worked. Now it all seems working as it should be.

Yay!

Alcatraz.

Went to Alcatraz yesterday, as well as Coit Tower. Both were fun. I certainly wouldn’t mind going to Alcatraz again someday. I didn’t swim back.

Got to eat in an Indian sports bar though. Think Irish, but Indian. Dots, not feathers.

The ballgame was fun. The seats were closer than I thought, given the stadium map. It was a good time and the home team won. About 5 home runs and several cute kids.

Busy day today. Sold something online, beginning to go through data files. Currently focusing on ones that will help me sell stuff online. There are many more files to sort through, however.
