Microfiche made it onto an NCIS epi. It went something like this…
Timothy: What’s that?
Gibbs: It’s a 1970s version of those things you stick on the side of the computer.
T: Thumb drives?
G: Yeah, those.
Microfiche in the 1970s … sounds like 2005-2007 at my former employer to me.
Well.

A van advertising a local rug cleaner is stopped at a “vacuum your car” station. This does not inspire me to hire the company the van is for.
Apparently, Poland makes a 95% [190 Proof] vodka, and “if you drink it fast enough”, it “goes down smooth”. I’ve seen a picture of the bottle; yes, 95%. Note: “obj” means “alcohol by volume” in Polish. Shhh, don’t tell Customs.
At 3:30p, do you really need to ask if I’m taking an “executive lunch”? I’m either in Silicon Valley, or I have a sweet job and should be more thankful for it. Oh wait, it’s both. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you…
The Following Are Cool:
“Today, I discovered I have SuperUser on 15-25 thousand computers.”. Followed by… “I use it for good.”. This, from the dude talking and showing about 95% Polish vodka. Did I just meet Crash’s brother or what?
My favorite pub has finished converted all of its televisions to flat screen [finally!]. I’m glad to have seen the entire progression of the pub’s upgrade — new paint, new television screens, new juke box, bathroom occupancy lights put outside, turning of the guard for some bar tenders, the 86 of selected customers, keeping the same olde feel and atmosphere, the whole lot of Local Life “as time goes by”. At long last, I am Part Of The Neighborhood.
Context to some Cadfael episodes makes more sense after some Pillars Of The Earth-induced historical research. Cool. Maude vs Steven… heheheheh, wars of succession are always interesting — though I may change my mind if you force me to live through one.
It smells like Cape Cod outside. Oh…. wow…

Putting the past where it belongs can be hard.
Glad to be doing it though.

Who happened to pull out a win at the end, as it happens.
My current employer, every year apparently, gives out free tickets to professional baseball games to its employees who are able to sign up for some. After getting two and having to cancel due to shift work [a typical move that I got used to from my last employer], I was able to trade them in for different tickets I was able to use.
The game was fun — popcorn, hot dogs, coffee for warmth. We drove part way, then took Bart the rest of the way in. The “Fan Photographer” even took our picture — apparently we were cute enough to make the cut XD

… well, you know the rest.
Unless your wicked or wary.
The uncanny ability to fumble through projects that seem everlasting. Whatever to do when boredom is your only activity?
Then again, I’m dangerous when I’m bored.

Several ongoing projects appear to be cresting the hill.
Several, of course, suffer from “the last mile” difficulty, but others approach “throw the switch and go”.
Lest Murphy pay an expected visit, heheh.
At the least, progress.

Crazy people should not be allowed at the bar, even if they aren’t 86′d.
And by the way, both a crazy person and an 86′d person [who also happened to be crazy] showed up last night. Luckily, I wasn’t either of them — or, at least, um, you know what I mean; they like me there.
Speaking of, Farmville and Facebook. I joined and am stepping up. Too little too late perhaps, but… a band-aid can’t hurt.
